Meet The Owner
Karen Harvey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In addition, she is a Certified Senor Relocation and Transition Specialist (CRTS™). Karen is trained to understand the unique challenges of later-life moves and help alleviate the stresses associated with home transitioning.
Karen has been a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM™) since 2011 and has served as a member of their Board of Directors.
As a CRTS and member of NASMM, Karen was required to pass a criminal background check and meet training, testing, ethics, insurance, and continuing education requirements. Her strength in project management and organization, along with her keen attention to detail, eye for design, and optimistic attitude will guide you delightfully through the process and ensure positive results.

Before I founded STS, I had always managed other businesses. Never owned my own. I saw move management as an opportunity to provide a much-needed service to seniors and their families. The idea of helping with all the crazy details during this overwhelming time resonated with my personality so perfectly that I needed no time at all to ponder whether or not to do it.
Although owning a business was completely unfamiliar to me, I instinctively knew I would be good at this work and like any passionate pioneer, I dove in immediately. My management personality and my worker bee personality kicked into high gear. I think it was my strength in project management, and organization, along my excessive compulsive attention to detail and cockeyed optimistic attitude that that propelled me forward and gave me the courage to forge ahead. But, owning and growing STS…. the entrepreneurial part, was the fear factor. Getting out there, promoting myself and finding my first client, how do I do that? I knew if I could figure it out, I would have a great chance of success. What kept me going that first year was simple, my desire succeed was much greater than my fears.
We opened our doors in January, 2010. And have served hundreds of clients, helping them coordinate their moves, bringing organization to their homes and liquidate the homes of their deceased loved-ones. Although we support boomers and seniors, we are delighted to help anyone interested in using the services we offer.
I am blessed and humbled to employ a staff of professionals who are thoughtful, caring, and hard-working individuals and love what they do. It is a joy to see them as devoted to our mission as I am and I never stop counting my blessings.

Most recently, STS has been involved with Move for Hunger, a non-profit organizing that works with relocation companies to collect non-perishable food items and deliver it to food banks throughout North America.
