STEP 1:  COMPLIMENTARY IN-HOME CONSULTATION

We begin with our complimentary in-home consultation, when we assess the the home to ensure an estate sale is the best option.  We answer questions and provide details about our services and fees.  If you wish to proceed, we follow-up with a Comprehensive Estate Sale Plan outlining the services you requested and fees as discussed in the consultation.  We will provide you with a simple Contract Agreement for your signature.

We Have sold expired Polaroid film, broken pottery, and half empty jugs of detergent!

STEP 2:  PRE - ESTATE SALE SERVICES

Now you are ready to relax and leave the rest to our team.  We can't wait to get started!  From start to finish the timing is typically 2 weeks.
 

  • Professional cleaning service if pre-cleaning is required (Client's expense).
  • Digital photo inventory of the contents of home.
  • Tables, shelving, and locking display cases for small valuables and extra lighting if necessary.
  • Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff to assist with set up.
  • Sorting and displaying household inventory to create an attractive buying atmosphere, secure from theft and breakage.
  • Fair market pricing on inventory.
  • Appraisals from third party certified appraisers on quality items. (Client's expense).
  • Tagging inventory with price stickers.
  • Contacting city and/or community association for parking and signage restrictions. 
  • Secure required permits.
  • Aggressive marketing to attract as many patrons as possible using the following resources:
    • Newspaper Advertising a day prior to and each day of the event.
    • Internet Advertising - We beautifully showcase your estate sale with dates, directions, decriptions, and digital photos on our website - www.srtransitionsolutions.com, craiglist.com, and estatesales.net. 
    • Email - We promote every estate via email blast to our ever-growing list of customers as well as over 1000 subscribers of Estatesales.net.
    • Signage - We provide neighborhood signage the days of the sale.
    • Handouts - We also promote your sale to customers attending our estate sales prior to your scheduled date.

STEP 3: DURING - ESTATE SALE SERVICE

The estate sale usually takes 2-3 days depending on its size.

  • An estate sale manager will be on site throughout the event providing leadership and supervision to our experienced sales team members.
  • Provide bags and wrapping paper for purchases.
  • Negotiate sale prices assuring a fair price.
  • Professional signage placement in neighborhood as per city restriction guidelines.
  • We accept cash and checks over $20 with proper ID.

STEP 4:  POST - ESTATE SALE SERVICE

  • Remove neighborhood signage and all set up items - tables, shelving etc.
  • Items sold and unsold will be removed and premises will be returned to the client in broom clean condition within 3 business days after the sale.
  • If a major post-cleaning is required we will arrange a professional bonded cleaning service. (Client's expense).
  • If excessive trash removal including large hazardous waste materials, non-working appliances or non-running vehicles is required we will arrange to have it removed (Client's expense).
  • Items designated for charity will be boxed and arrangements will be made for pickup, providing client with a charitable tax receipt.
  • Sale proceeds, less our commission, less agreed upon reimbursable expenditures, receipts for those expenses, and a complete inventory of items sold will be delivered to client within 14 business days from end of sale.

We conduct estate sales throughout Palm Beach and Martin County.
